1. Scope & summary

This policy describes how MAKETZO ("we", "us") — operated by Abinic, LLC — collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit maketzo.co, use our applications, or subscribe to our services.

Short version: We collect what we need to run the product — account info, trading performance, behavioral signals, billing. We don't sell your data. AI coaching features are opt-in. You can export or delete your data at any time.

2. What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Name, email, password hash (if you use email login), or Google account identifier (if you use Google sign-in).
  • Trading performance data. The trades, P&L, sessions, and statistics you log in MAKETZO. This data only exists because you create it.
  • Behavioral & rule-break data. Strike events, max-loss adherence, COACH SAYS triggers, lockout history, streak length. Used by the discipline engine on your behalf.
  • Billing information. Plan, status, and Stripe customer ID. We never see, store, or process your card details — those live entirely with Stripe.
  • Communications. Emails you send us, contact-form submissions, and newsletter signup.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, page views, and basic error logs needed to keep the service running.

3. How we use it

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate the product. Authenticate your login, run the state machine, fire COACH SAYS, enforce strikes and lockouts, deliver Edge and Pulse alerts.
  • Provide AI coaching features (opt-in only). If you explicitly opt in, we use your trading performance and behavioral data to generate personalized coaching insights. You can disable this at any time from your account.
  • Send service emails. Welcome emails, billing receipts, trial reminders, and account notifications. These are required for account function.
  • Send newsletter emails (opt-in). If you subscribed to our newsletter, we send bi-weekly trading discipline insights. Unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Improve the product. Aggregate, de-identified analytics to understand which features work. We never publish individual data.
  • Comply with law. Respond to lawful requests where required.

What we will never do: Sell your trading data to brokers, hedge funds, or third parties. Share your individual trades with advertisers. Use your data to train third-party AI models. Send your information to data brokers.

4. Where data lives

The MAKETZO stack runs on the following infrastructure:

  • Authentication tokens. A signed session token (JWT) held in a secure, httpOnly first-party cookie (mkt_sess), paired with a CSRF-protection cookie (mkt_csrf). These are first-party cookies set by MAKETZO — never third-party tracking cookies.
  • Primary data store. MySQL database hosted on Hostinger infrastructure.
  • Billing. Stripe holds your card details and processes payments. We hold only your Stripe customer ID and current subscription status.
  • Email delivery. Resend handles transactional and newsletter emails on our behalf.
  • Authentication provider. Google OAuth (if you choose Google sign-in). Standard OAuth scopes only — we never see your Google password.

5. Your controls

You have meaningful control over your data:

  • Export. Download a complete copy of your trading data, journal entries, and account information at any time from your account page.
  • Delete. Delete your account from your account page. We erase your data within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain (e.g., billing transactions for tax purposes).
  • Opt out of AI coaching. Toggle off in your account. Once disabled, no behavioral data is fed into coaching models.
  • Unsubscribe from newsletter. One-click link in every newsletter email. Service emails (billing, security) cannot be unsubscribed — they're required for account function.
  • Access your data. Request a copy of all the information we hold about you. Email info@maketzo.co and we'll send it within 30 days.
  • Correct your data. Update inaccurate information directly from your account, or email us if it's something the UI doesn't expose.

6. Cookies & tracking

MAKETZO uses the minimum tracking required to run the service:

  • Authentication. First-party, essential cookies: a secure httpOnly session cookie (mkt_sess) plus a CSRF-protection cookie (mkt_csrf). Required to keep you logged in securely — not used for tracking or advertising.
  • Stripe billing portal. Stripe sets its own cookies when you visit the billing portal. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
  • No third-party ad pixels. No Facebook Pixel. No Google Ads conversion tracking. No retargeting. No data brokers.

7. Children & age

MAKETZO is intended for adults 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we erase personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., billing records for tax obligations, typically 7 years).

Aggregate, fully de-identified data may be retained indefinitely for product analytics. This data cannot be linked back to you.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll email active subscribers and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy. We never retroactively reduce your privacy rights without explicit consent.
